Thankful

So they asked me what I'm thankful for..

Of course family and friends come to mind

Or things I take for granted from time to time

I can't imagine what would life be like without running water or a place to lay my head at night

I'm thankful for that

Or perhaps the things I look past like my past

All the hardships trails and tribulations I've been thru

People leaving when you need them most, all of sudden their ghost

Disappeared

The Failures in life and of course the heartbreaks

Be ashamed without a dollar to my name

I was knocked down 

But I'm never going back.

I'm thankful for it all

The struggle

I found light when my world was dark

All because of my heart

No negativity no giving up 

Made the best of my situation now things are looking up

I'm thankful for that

The chance at life everyday, with the blessing or life I wouldn't be here being thankful today.

In the Moment: "Today"

I woke feeling different today.

Every other day I wake up feeling some type of way.

Bother by things from past days, but it's in the past it shouldn't matter anyways.

Now on to the better days,

There only going to come if I change my ways.

Be more grateful, count my blessings, and seize the day.

That's the motto everyday.

You only get one chance at life and that's today,

Because you aren't promised tomorrow and you can't change yesterday.

Do all you can with all that you have today!

As I stand here these tears are going to dry on their own

I'm glad your true colors were shown, now to face the facts and move on

I just want to say thank you

Taught me a thing or two and something's are too good to be true

Never wasted time only lessons learned 

Life deals a bad hand sometimes this happened to be my turn

I'll be strong, the body dies but the spirit lives on

And spirit wishes the best for you

Not wishing any bad onto you

Your heartbreaks and failures do nothing for me at all

I already had my fall, I already thought I had lost it all, I never thought it get better at all

But I'm back on me feet I'm standing again, I'm stronger than I've ever been

If you never broke me down, I would of never found out who I am

So thank you for helping me create the person I am

Fragile "The Story About Her"

I wrote you this poem but you'll never read it.

I wrote you a song but you'll never hear me sing it.

I planned you trips of places you probably won't visit.

I got you a ring but it was never fitted.

I gave you my time all you did was waste it.

I gave you my heart all you did was split it.

I gave you my life and you didn't know how cope with it.

I gave you my love and obliviously you abused it.

Empty Words "The Story About Her"

My world is upside down now that you're gone,

Things aren't the same when I look at my phone.

Replays in my head of the night that you left,

I got many words that are left unsaid.

Honestly how can this be?

Me and you baby were an unbreakable team; felt like nothing could come in between,

I was your king and you were my queen,

We had dreams.. of us being together now it means nothing like the words on this letter.

See you promised me forever,

And they say we should never say never,

If you never said forever things might of actually been better!

What was all of it for? For you I'd go to war 

I do anything to weather the storm

But for what?

Got me here questioning, I know I wasn't perfect I have a lot to fix,

For you to just run out I can't comprehend this shit.

Now I'm non existent to you.. A complete stranger. 

Contemplating to pick of the phone and give you one last call,

then I remember you taught me words don't mean shit at all!

Actions do..

Broken "The Story About Her"

Her face buried in the pillow asking, "how could this be?"

"Why does everyone have to take advantage of me?"

"Did I do something wrong for this to happen to me?"

It's not something she can believe 

See her heart is good it gets passed around like loose change, 

that's what happens when you caught up in the game

Tears rolling slowing down her face

She's wondering why things must be this way

Thinking about her past of all those bad men, 

The "what could of beens"

Now she guarded, 

to protect her from being broken hearted 

Walls may never come down, another heart may never come in 

A part of it never thought she love me

Timming is key although she's perfect 

It takes a lot to do what she did, open up after bad experiences

That's only way to find out if dreams come true or if he's just another "too good to be true"

Tested the game.. She stayed in love when she had the oppurtunity to walk away

Now the tides have changed

She's done a lot for the wrong ones

now here I am, I'm the one

Take my love and believe in us

It's not easy for her to forget about how the past played out

But this is a new love.. Let's see how this one plays out!

Crutch "The Story about Her"

Sitting besides you as the world spins slow
Clinching your hand I plan to never let go
As the world is weights down on her shoulders 
I just pull her closer and hold her
I whisper everything will be alright
She buries her head in my chest then hugs me tight
Go ahead and let it out
It's okay to shout
But she remains so calm although you see frustration in her eyes
But she doesn't cry
She's poised and collected
Something never expected 
Everything is a blur
That's why I'm here to comfort her
I'm your punching bag I say 
She replies I just need you here to stay
I seem a bit shocked 
I stare at her, she's my rock 
No matter how hard things may be
I'll never leave your side baby
Sometimes our strongest person needs to be loved too 
I promise that's what I'll do
we are in this together
Never to make each other feel lesser, only better
And that's life we'll share together
