What is truly ahead?

Keep your eyes on the prize! Look forward to better days but better days only come if you act upon them. Set yourself up to succeed in life. Do you ask yourself daily how you can improve? How you can make a difference today for your future? Don't knock yourself or your hustle. Everything you do is a learning mechanism. Even if you fail or it's not the outcome you desire it's a lesson. Today, if you're just going to work; do you have a purpose for going? Can what you learn help you grow at work or outside of work? Can the tools you acquired help get you a promotion or possibly a better job? Today of you're going to school are you paying attention? Are you working towards that degree? Why you there? Today if you're doing nothing, why not start something? That's what everything we do, really dissect it and understand the meaning and purposes behind it! If you're comfortable where you're at then that's okay, it's gonna take a time and place where we're gonna have to decide to act. Make each day a stepping stone for a better tomorrow.

Play Ball

Walking through the gates tickets in my hand
On the way to my seats in the stands
Lights shining so big and bright
Getting to witness the greatest stars in the game tonight
The smell of peanuts and hot dog surface in the air
Cheering on our favorite team is what we fans share 
The stadium is filled with my teams threads
All ages showing support from the socks on their feet to the caps on their heads 
A roar of cheers echos as they take the field
Everyone chanting and cheering for them must give them the chills 
Hand over my heart as the national anthem is being singed
Anticipation as everyone is ready to cheer for the team
Everyone on their feet as the ump shouts, "Play Ball"
I gasp for a breathe as the first pitch takes off

Today

Today another day another opportunity to do whatever you please, 
Carpe Diem it's your day to seize.
Today don't carry yesterday's troubles into today,
You can't go back and fix it anyway.
Today give yourself a clean slate and be on your way,
Be the light in the world of black and grey .
Today is the day to get right,
Tomorrow isn't promised and yesterday is out of sight.
All you have is TODAY!

Misunderstood

MISUNDERSTOOD
Dark clouds surface, rain drops fall..
Look around no one in sight at all.
Is it bcuz my face hangs low?
As I stroll the streets so slow..
My mind lingers..
Why beat myself up?
voices in my head shut up.
This isn't me.. but its not what you see.
big smile? Or should we call it fake
Be you for christ sake
Tired of battling my self,
Can't be good for my health..
Telling myself I'm going crazy
same battle I battle daily 
but this storm shall pass, it always does
Can't let a bad days kill your buzz
That's life.. a mixture of bad & good 
But don't let the bad outweigh the good
Otherwise you might always be misunderstood..
